Position Overview

The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens in all sections of Clinical Laboratory at an elevated level as a true generalist to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease and exercises independent judgment when evaluating the validity of test results prior to result reporting. Operates and calibrates all equipment in the area of specialization, evaluates the validity of laboratory data, records test results, communicates with physician, pathologists and nursing staff regarding test procedures and results.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
    • American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with EPIC preferred
    • Experience with Vitos, Unity and WellSky preferred
    • ASCP Speciality certifications preferred
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Pay and Schedule

Compensation range is $38.30 - $61.28 per hour, with night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 may be eligible for new hires.
