About the role

Perform moderate to high complexity clinical laboratory tests in an assigned department of the clinical laboratory to provide physicians with rapid and accurate laboratory test results.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and complex clinical laboratory tests
  • Ensure accuracy and timely reporting of test results
  • Interpret test results and communicate findings to healthcare providers
  • Adhere to quality control procedures and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Eligibility for certification by an agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education or a National Commission for Health Certifying Agencies (NCHCA)
  • Specific clinical laboratory experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Eligible for state certifications
  • Must obtain certification within six months of hire
