Medical Laboratory Scientist

About the role

Work Schedule: 90% FTE, 7am - 7:30pm, 3 days a week. Rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic testing in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret test results and develop treatment plans.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in medical laboratory science (MLS).
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in medical laboratory science (MLS).
  • 1 year healthcare or lab related work experience.
  • Certification (Medical Lab Science, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Banking, Molecular Biology) by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or similar agency preferred.

Qualifications

Pay

  • Additional components of compensation may include: Evening, night, and weekend shift differential, Overtime, On-call pay.
