About the role
The Medical Laboratory Scientist will perform and report a wide range of analytical procedures on patient specimens, ensuring accurate and timely results. They will also provide excellent patient care by clinical correlation of results, identifying patterns of bias, and notifying caregivers of critical values.
Responsibilities
- Execute complex laboratory tests across various disciplines (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.)
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, perform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshoot as needed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain quality control records
- Participate in proficiency testing and document results
- Assist in validating new procedures and equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science or Medical Technology, or related field defined by CLIA
- Preferred: Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, or equivalent by ASCP
Qualifications
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Advanced technical proficiency in laboratory operations
- Strong scientific foundation and commitment to accuracy and regulatory adherence
Skills
- Proficiency in laboratory instrumentation and techniques
- Excellent communication and clinical correlation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule
70 hours per week, 8:30 am - 7:00 pm, 7 on 7 off shift
