Qualifications
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s or Associates Degree program in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- Experience preferred, but not a must
- Currently licensed and in good standing (or eligible to be by start date) by Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners
- Certified by a qualified agency (ASCP/NCA/AMT), maintaining requirements
- Pass basic background check for criminal history, OIG, etc.
- Must be able to work 2 hours or less on every 3rd Saturday
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for specimen processing, laboratory test performance, and reporting test results
- Maintain proficiency in specimen handling and processing, as well as quality control policies
- Follow laboratory’s policies for testing, maintenance, quality control, and corrective action
- Identify and address issues affecting test performance or reporting
- Show strong attention to detail
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by the Lab Manager
