About the role

LabCorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team at the Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, WA.

Schedule

Three-week rotational schedule, working every three weekends:

  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Week 1: Mon, Thu, Fri
  • Week 2: Mon, Fri, Sat
  • Week 3: Sun, Tue, Thu

Responsibilities

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
  • Function as a generalist across hospital laboratory departments
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
  • Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving
  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
  • Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology
  • ASCP or AMT certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year or more of recent Blood Bank experience

Pay

Pay Range: $37.00 – $46.21. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.
