Medical Lab Technician PRN

About the role

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) utilizes skills and training to perform tests of samples of blood, urine and other body fluids to obtain information utilized in diagnosis and evaluation of patient medical status. Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Maintains appropriate awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of XXX Medical Center. TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center proudly serves Rutherford County, Tennessee. Our 100‑bed hospital offers complete medical care for adults and children, including emergency, surgical, and many other services. Our medical staff of about 500 physicians includes more than 45 specialties. Many physicians have offices on the hospital campus. Our staff is committed to providing quality patient care. Requirements

Associate's degree and completion of an accredited MLT program OR the equivalent education and experience that qualifies for national registration through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
