Medical Lab Technican

About the role

This position performs medical diagnostic testing and specimen processing in the Clinical Laboratory. The Medical Laboratory Technician performs waived, moderate and highly complex testing under the supervision of a Medical Technologist or General Supervisor and is responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived, moderate and highly complex testing under the supervision of a Medical Technologist or General Supervisor.
• Analyzes laboratory specimens and reports results according to laboratory policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Laboratory Technician program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Schedule
