Medical Lab Tech (MLS/MT) - Blood Bank
About the role
The Medical Technologist performs and evaluates complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic and bacteriological analyses. Ensures communication of test results as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Certifications: Medical Technologist (MT) (ASCP), Medical Technologist (MT) (AMT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) (ASCP), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) (AMT)
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science, Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science
- Work Experience: Clinical laboratory responsibilities including testing, specimen preparation, equipment operation, and quality control procedures.
Skills
Accurately performs testing in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, troubleshoots problems, participates in proficiency testing, and maintains compliance with regulations.
Benefits
Relocation bonus available for candidates relocating more than 50 miles from current residence. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 for 1 year of experience, $5,000 for less than 1 year of experience, and $2,500 for external candidates.
Pay
The compensation range for this position is $30.62 per hour - $52.67 per hour. Actual compensation is based on a variety of factors including experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
