MEDICAL LAB SCIENTIST (Per Diem) - Temple Health/Chestnut Hill Hospital

About the Role

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens, performing clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, performing preventive maintenance, and interpreting results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits. The MLS works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences with 26 science credits with appropriate experience in a CLIA laboratory
• 1 year experience in relevant laboratory section

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant laboratory licensure
