About the Role
Obtains or receives specimens and performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures. Understands method principles, performs quality control and preventive maintenance, and interprets results accurately within critical limits. Works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines, and validates all data obtained.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science OR
- Bachelor's in another field of study AND completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program OR
- MT-HEW certification in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- ASCP or AMT eligible certification
- Clinical Laboratory Science experience required
- Blood Bank experience preferred

Reading Hospital's Laboratory is CAP accredited, offering specialized testing, lab automation, and state-of-the-art equipment. The lab provides cross-training opportunities and involvement in cross-functional process improvement teams. In Fiscal Year 2023, the lab performed:
- 8.5 million tests (including Chemistry, Cytology, Flow Cytometry, Hematology, Coagulation, Histology, Microbiology, Point of Care Testing, Transfusion Services, and Urinalysis)
- 122,751 Anatomical Pathology tests
- 404,139 combined inpatient & outpatient phlebotomy draws
