Medical Lab Scientist - MCB Core Lab - ARZ

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory tests on patient specimens to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
• Demonstrate precision, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of laboratory science and technology.
• Perform diagnostic testing on blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and laboratory documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret results and support patient care.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and procedures.
• Certification from recognized bodies such as MLS/H/C/BB ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or AMT (American Medical Technologists) within 18 months of hire.
