Medical Lab Scientist - MCB Core Lab - ARZ

Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory tests on patient specimens to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
- Demonstrate precision, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of laboratory science and technology.
- Perform diagnostic testing on blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and laboratory documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret results and support patient care.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and procedures.
- Certification from recognized bodies such as MLS/H/C/BB ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or AMT (American Medical Technologists) within 18 months of hire.
