About the role

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a skilled individual to join our Blood Bank team. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, we are dedicated to advancing health and wellness through high-quality patient care, education, and research.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine and complex clinical pathology testing and instrument management of laboratory services.
  • Accurately records results and ensures timely delivery of results.
  • Accurately performs qualitative and quantitative analytical procedures, including reagent preparation and quality control.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments and their interrelationships as well as physiological conditions affecting test results.
  • Applies clinical knowledge to achieve accurate clinical test results which lead to quality patient care outcomes.

Position Qualifications

  • Relevant Work Experience: Less than 1 year.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Certifications: Lic-Medical Laboratory Act - Tennessee, Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP, Medical Technologist - AMT.
