Location: MetroHealth Medical Center – 0.4 FTE (32 biweekly hours)

About the Role

Provides strategic and operational support for the planning, implementation, and optimization of clinical information systems across The MetroHealth System. Serves as a key liaison between Information Services and clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with organizational goals and business needs. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to improve workflows, enhance clinical outcomes, and support value-based care initiatives. Oversees training programs related to clinical information systems and supports the educational and research initiatives of the Center for Clinical Informatics Research and Education. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational support for clinical information systems planning, implementation, and optimization.
  • Serve as a liaison between Information Services and clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders.
  • Ensure technology solutions align with organizational goals and business needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve workflows and enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Support value-based care initiatives.
  • Oversee training programs related to clinical information systems.
  • Support educational and research initiatives of the Center for Clinical Informatics Research and Education.

Requirements

  • MD/DO degree with corresponding Ohio license.
  • 2 years of experience in informatics, clinical information systems, outcomes measurement, quality improvement, analytics, data management, and evidence-based medicine with increasing scope of responsibilities.
  • 2 years of relevant clinical practice experience.
  • Knowledge of clinical workflow in a variety of clinical settings, especially inpatient and outpatient.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop recommendations and solutions.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Clinical Informatics.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience with Epic electronic health record systems.
  • Epic certifications (including, but not limited to, Chronicles Programmer) encouraged.

Physical Demands

  • May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
  • May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
  • Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
  • Ability to read job-related documents.
  • Ability to use a computer.
