Medical Imaging Technician (Full-Time)

About the Role

The Cat Scan/MRI Technician provides imaging services, including computed tomography, following standards and physician orders. They review patient history, educate patients about procedures, and prepare and administer contrast media when needed. The technician monitors patient conditions, ensures equipment safety and quality, troubleshoots malfunctions, and performs imaging procedures accurately. They analyze scan results, address image quality issues, and transmit reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and prepare imaging equipment
• Perform imaging procedures, including computed tomography and MRI
• Review patient history and educate patients about procedures
• Prepare and administer contrast media as needed
• Monitor patient conditions and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Analyze scan results and address image quality issues
• Maintain quality standards and adhere to safety protocols
• Transmit reports and ensure accurate documentation

Requirements

• Two-year certificate, Associate, or Baccalaureate degree
• Current Radiation Operator Certificate
• ARRT registration
• BLS certification
• Ability to work independently in stressful environments
• Critical thinking and decisive judgment skills
• On-call availability with ability to respond within 30 minutes
