Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience in human services or working with individuals with disabilities preferred
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of automobile insurance
Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with planned activities and community involvement
- Support medical needs including: G-tubes, catheters, medication administration, oxygen use, aspiration precautions, and other medical supports
- Assess pain and discomfort in non-verbal individuals
- Develop relationship maps to identify social inclusion opportunities
- Support individuals in building and maintaining social networks
- Promote self-esteem through active community participation
- Provide individualized supports including personal care and skill development
- Absist with hygiene and personal care (bathroom use, bathing, dental hygiene, etc.)
- Participate in Person-Centered Planning and implementation of goals
- Complete required documentation, data collection, and monthly progress notes
- Assist with training and orientation of new staff as needed
- Distribute medication in accordance with He-M 1201
- Report all safety, health, or human rights concerns immediately
- Ensure compliance with state regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Compensation & Benefits
- $1,000 Sign-On Bonus
- $500 paid at hire
- $500 paid after 6 months of employment
- Bonus available to new hires only; rehires and transfers are not eligible at this time
- Paid Training: Employees are paid their regular rate while attending required training
- Mileage Reimbursement: Approved mileage driven while on the clock is reimbursed
Current Schedule
- Less Than Part-Time
- Mondays & Thursdays
- 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Saturdays: 7-3pm & 3-11pm
