Medical Facility Driver/Support Services

About the role

As a Part-Time Medical Facility Driver/Support Services team member at Carolina Ophthalmology, you will play an integral role in aiding physicians, front office, clinical, and administrative staff by driving between our three main offices each day in a company vehicle, running office-related errands, and performing a variety of other small tasks. This onsite position allows you to engage directly with our compassionate team and is ideal for someone with several years of work experience seeking a part-time role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain company vehicles, including inspections and adherence to maintenance schedules
• Perform very light building maintenance tasks
• Conduct administrative and courier duties to support smooth operations
• Exercise sound judgment and uphold confidentiality in all tasks
• Manage vehicle maintenance and deliver materials between offices as needed
• Assist with the setup of a handful of annual internal events
• Demonstrate dependability and integrity while meeting high standards of customer service and ethical behavior

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to stand and walk for moderate periods
• Capable of lifting items weighing up to 45 pounds
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literacy to manage administrative tasks efficiently (preferred but not required)
• Ability to manage a variety of tasks and maintain a positive attitude
• High school diploma (additional formal education is a plus)
• Several years of prior work experience performing diverse tasks and interacting positively with others
