About the role

Responsible for the management, inventory, setup/disassembly and cleaning of medical equipment in the patient care areas. Omnicell supply management. Special order purchases.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains equipment and supply inventory.
  • Maintains inventory of special-order items and completes paperwork to ensure items are charged appropriately.
  • Avoids waste and duplication of supplies.
  • Helps coordinators project budgets for repairs, replacement and new purchases.
  • Follows up with HH Biomedical Department on requested safety checks and repair work orders on medical equipment in order to enhance the Quality Improvement Program.
  • Captures preventative maintenance programs for equipment in all areas.
  • Assists other department staff with stocking unit supplies, cleaning supply room and performing clerical tasks, as needed.
  • Represents the unit when working on collaborative Medical Center committees with members of various teams, ie: Safety, Hazard Materials, MSDS, EOC.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with medical equipment in a hospital environment.
  • Able to demonstrate all of the CCMC Core Organizational Competencies or has potential to do so as well as any clinical competencies.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR
  • Able to read, speak and write English.
  • Able to work independently with moderate supervision.
