About the role
Responsible for the management, inventory, setup/disassembly and cleaning of medical equipment in the patient care areas. Omnicell supply management. Special order purchases.
Responsibilities
- Maintains equipment and supply inventory.
- Maintains inventory of special-order items and completes paperwork to ensure items are charged appropriately.
- Avoids waste and duplication of supplies.
- Helps coordinators project budgets for repairs, replacement and new purchases.
- Follows up with HH Biomedical Department on requested safety checks and repair work orders on medical equipment in order to enhance the Quality Improvement Program.
- Captures preventative maintenance programs for equipment in all areas.
- Assists other department staff with stocking unit supplies, cleaning supply room and performing clerical tasks, as needed.
- Represents the unit when working on collaborative Medical Center committees with members of various teams, ie: Safety, Hazard Materials, MSDS, EOC.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with medical equipment in a hospital environment.
- Able to demonstrate all of the CCMC Core Organizational Competencies or has potential to do so as well as any clinical competencies.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR
- Able to read, speak and write English.
- Able to work independently with moderate supervision.
