About the Role

Our Mobile Medical Equipment Representatives are true frontline heroes, proud of their commitment to providing top-notch patient care by ensuring medical equipment is sanitary and available when needed. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families, particularly in children’s hospitals, where the work can be both incredibly rewarding and emotionally challenging.

Responsibilities

  • Keep an inventory of complex and life-saving medical devices.
  • Sterilize and bag medical equipment to ensure it is ready for use by medical professionals.
  • Verify inventory levels of mobile medical equipment for delivery.
  • Enter patient rooms to deliver or sanitize equipment, even while medical professionals are taking patient samples.
  • Navigate the hospital efficiently, including using staircases to service various levels of the building.
  • Work in small spaces to sanitize equipment.
  • Respond quickly and courteously to customer needs, even in high-stress situations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of experience in healthcare, clinical engineering, Durable Medical Equipment, or a similar industry (preferred).
  • Intermediate understanding of medical equipment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, nights, and emergency off-hours; overtime may be required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull a cart weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn new applications.
