The Opportunity
We are seeking a Medical Education Manager - Coronary for our Vascular division. This role is fully REMOTE.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Medical Education programs;
- Work with marketing/production to create promotional materials for current and new programs to grow internal and external awareness;
- Photograph/videos of current/future Med Ed events to include description of educational opportunities as well as team and customer testimonials;
- Provide guidance and clinical expertise to the Education Support team;
- Coordinate with Medical Education Management peers;
- Manage and partner collaboratively with physician Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), internal and external stakeholders, and vendors;
- Collaborate with field staff to determine current needs in the field for new program development;
- Maintain existing programs by metrics and follow-up;
- Update course content as required;
- Work with support team to ensure alignment in event goals, appropriate budget, messaging and expectations;
- Work with local field teams to equip them to promote and support local educational programs;
- Work with department management to ensure programs remain compliant with Abbott Corporate Guidelines and regulatory guidelines;
- Maintain tracking of training and compliance activities;
- Partner with faculty and manage relationships;
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Medical Affairs, other geography marketing leaders, local sales, and marketing to develop tools, messages, data, programs, systems, services, and behaviors related to programs;
- Update sales leadership on existing and future programs;
- Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors;
- Drive continuous improvement and development, implementation, and tracking, of business best practices;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training materials and programs on a continuous basis;
- Capture and share program metrics.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience;
- Minimum 4 years of clinical and/or training experience in Cardiovascular Therapy area preferred or equivalent sales and/or marketing experience;
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong relationship building abilities necessary to partner with physicians and Internal/External stakeholders;
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization;
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
