Medical Director Veterinarian

Location: Toledo, OH | Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director Veterinarian to provide exceptional clinical care and lead and mentor the veterinary team. This role combines hands-on medicine with medical leadership, quality improvement, and team development.

Responsibilities

• Provide wellness, preventive, and sick-patient care for canine and feline patients.
• Perform soft tissue, dental, and orthopedic surgeries.
• Oversee clinical standards and promote high-quality patient care.
• Mentor associate veterinarians, including new graduates.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to support clinical and operational goals.
• Help foster a positive, collaborative, and growth-focused team environment.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary standards.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree.
• Strong clinical veterinary experience with demonstrated leadership ability.
• Previous Medical Director or management experience preferred.
• Active Ohio Veterinary License or eligibility to obtain one.

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-6:00/7:00 PM | No overnight emergency or general on-call duties
