Job Details

• Position: Medical Director - Veterinarian
• Location: Baltimore, Maryland Area

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the veterinary team in delivering exceptional patient care
• Establish and maintain high medical and surgical standards
• Mentor veterinarians and support staff
• Partner with hospital leadership to enhance clinical protocols and operational efficiency
• Promote a positive, collaborative hospital culture
• Provide preventive care, diagnostics, and chronic disease management
• Perform general soft tissue surgeries
• Deliver dental care, including extractions and interpretation of dental radiographs
• Build strong client relationships through effective communication and education

Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
• Maryland veterinary license (or ability to obtain licensure)
• Minimum of 3 years of small animal practice experience
• Strong surgical and dental skills
• Prior leadership or mentoring experience preferred
• Passion for coaching, collaboration, and high-quality veterinary medicine
