Responsibilities
- Conduct medical reviews and make independent decisions on oncology treatment plans
- Assess ongoing cancer treatment plans for alignment with evidence-based practices
- Provide clinical recommendations balancing quality and cost-effectiveness
- Engage with providers, insurers, and patients about treatment options
- Analyze clinical and utilization data to identify care trends and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to support value-based care initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulations and payer requirements in clinical decision-making
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) required
- Board Certification in Oncology essential
- At least 5 years of clinical experience in oncology
- Minimum 2 years of Utilization Management experience
- Demonstrated expertise in assessing treatment plan clinical appropriateness
- Strong grasp of oncology-specific treatment protocols and reimbursement policies
- Excellent analytical and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders
