Medical Director / Senior Medical Director, Psychiatry

For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director / Senior Medical Director, Psychiatry to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will provide medical leadership across clinical studies, with a strong focus on psychiatry and the safe execution of trial activities. The position partners closely with project teams, investigators, sponsors, and medical monitors to support study delivery and scientific integrity. It also includes oversight of safety review, adverse event evaluation, and data validation in alignment with study requirements and regulatory expectations. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $210,000 – $250,000 annually Responsibilities Provide medical oversight for clinical trials to ensure adherence to SOPs and regulations Attend and present at investigator and sponsor meetings Offer medical consultation to project team members and clients Ensure tasks delegated to medical monitors are executed correctly Monitor safety variables across clinical studies Review adverse events and clinical outcomes reported by study sites Engage in data validation and review as per contract specifications Qualifications MD or equivalent required with clinical experience in Psychiatry Formal Psychiatry training (residency and/or fellowship) 2+ years patient treatment experience in Psychiatry 1–2 years clinical trial experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical company for Senior Medical Director role Active medical licensure preferred but not mandatory Benefits Competitive remuneration Annual incentive plan bonus Comprehensive healthcare Employee benefits package Career development opportunities Innovative company culture Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
