About the role

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Medical Director to join our well-established, collaborative practice in Providence, RI. The ideal candidate will bring medical autonomy, opportunities to expand skills, and support from a highly experienced team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical leadership and oversight to the hospital
  • Collaborate with the hospital’s leadership team to set strategic direction and ensure alignment with the practice’s mission and values
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital, including clinical care, client service, and financial management
  • Support and mentor the hospital’s veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
  • Continuously improve the quality of care provided to patients and clients
  • Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and implement new technologies and best practices

Requirements

  • US licensed DVM or DVM equivalent
  • Confidence in medical exams, diagnostics, treatment planning, and client communication
  • Experience in a leadership role within a veterinary practice
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in veterinary medicine
  • Experience in a leadership role within a veterinary practice
  • Passionate about providing exceptional care to pets and their owners
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues

Pay

Our base salary range is from $140,000 - $175,000 (or higher) based on experience and production capabilities. We offer pro-sal and salary options and are open to offering a sign-on bonus or relocation package. We can be creative with your total compensation package so that you get the things you need to be able to join us!

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the practice and the individual.
