Medical Director Physician
Position Summary
The main focus will be Medical Director responsibilities at SNFs with responsibility of H&Ps and regulatory visits, and collaborative partnering with other Events WholeHealth doctors for oversight visits at all the ALFs in your territory with a focused intent on MD exposure, meeting with RCC and Admin, being at facility when NP/PA is rounding and doing oversight visits that guide quality of care for our extenders while meeting oversight visit RVUs expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as Medical Director at SNFs, overseeing H&Ps and regulatory visits.
- Collaborate with other Events WholeHealth doctors for oversight visits at all ALFs in your territory.
- Supervise all NPs in your region and work with facilities and providers to create a systems-based approach.
- Attend monthly Primary Care Conference Calls.
- Work with the Audit team to ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid standards.
- Manage administrative duties for SNFs, such as signing MD-only paperwork and attending QA meetings.
- Make rounds and see families as needed, attend OR, and be present during regulatory visits.
- Be responsible for every other 60-day regulatory visit and every 30-day regulatory visit for the NP.
- Ensure that each SNF has a full-time NP managing all acute cases, discharges, and tuck-ins and providing regular follow-ups for your plan of care.
Qualifications/Education
- Licensed MD or DO
- 3 years in Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility setting
- AMDA Certified (not mandatory)
- Medical Directorship a Plus
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
