Responsibilities
- Support clinicians for timely responses to members and providers
- Provide guidance on clinical operations
- Conduct peer-to-peer clinical reviews with attending physicians
- Lead peer-to-peer clinical appeal reviews as necessary
- Serve as a resource and consultant across the company
- Represent the company on internal and external committees
- Develop new medical policies based on healthcare changes
- Innovate to improve healthcare quality and cost
Qualifications
- MD or DO with Board certification (ABMS or AOA) required
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the U.S.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience
- 5 years of healthcare experience for specific organizational roles
- State-specific additional experience may be required
