Medical Director - Physiatrist (PM&R)

About the role

A medical director position is available for our 10-bed inpatient acute rehab unit. The role offers flexible scheduling with at least 20 hours dedicated to directorship, EMG/NCS opportunities, and the possibility of having an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the inpatient acute rehab unit
• Collaborate with hospitalists and specialists for consults
• Support the development and implementation of clinical programs
• Ensure compliance with best practices and regulations
• Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians and other healthcare providers
• Contribute to the overall improvement of patient care outcomes

Requirements

• MD/DO degree
• Board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
• At least 5 years of experience in PM&R
• Experience leading interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills
• Knowledge of rehabilitation medicine principles
• Experience with EMG/NCS procedures
• Outpatient clinic management experience (optional)
