About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Medical Director based in the United States. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced physician leader to shape the future of peptide-based therapeutics and digital healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior clinical authority for peptide therapeutics programs, ensuring exceptional standards of patient safety, clinical quality, and evidence-based care.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve clinical protocols for peptide therapies across metabolic health, longevity, regenerative medicine, and other emerging therapeutic areas.
- Review scientific literature, clinical studies, and real-world evidence to guide treatment strategies and medical decision-making.
- Lead the introduction of new therapies, expansion of clinical services, and advancement of innovative healthcare offerings.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and distributed clinical teams.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations related to telehealth, prescribing practices, pharmacy partnerships, and peptide-based treatments.
- Partner with product and technology teams to integrate clinical safeguards, treatment algorithms, and decision-support tools into digital healthcare platforms.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, adverse events, and quality metrics while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review and support the development of patient education materials, provider training resources, and scientific communications.
- Build relationships with pharmacies, laboratories, research organizations, and other healthcare partners.
- Advise leadership teams on clinical strategy, emerging medical opportunities, and industry developments.
- Represent the organization in scientific discussions, professional collaborations, and industry engagements.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with an active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state; multi-state licensure is preferred.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Obesity Medicine, or another relevant medical specialty.
- 7+ years of clinical experience with significant exposure to peptide-based therapies and physician leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in prescribing and managing peptide therapeutics across areas such as metabolic health, regenerative medicine, longevity, or related fields.
- Experience translating clinical research and emerging scientific evidence into practical treatment protocols and care guidelines.
- Proven background developing clinical pathways, quality assurance programs, and evidence-based healthcare standards.
- Previous experience as a Medical Director or physician leader within healthcare organizations, telehealth platforms, specialty practices, or innovative care models.
- Experience managing and mentoring healthcare providers and distributed clinical teams.
- Strong understanding of telehealth regulations, prescribing compliance, clinical governance, and healthcare quality standards.
- Familiarity with clinical research, regulatory developments, and the evolving peptide therapeutics landscape.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strong sense of ownership.
