About the role
Neurology Center for Epilepsy and Seizures, LLC (NCES) is seeking a full-time adult epileptologist to serve as Medical Director of the Epilepsy Program at Community Medical Center (CMC) in Toms River, New Jersey. This is a unique, non-hospital-employed leadership opportunity to develop and grow an advanced epilepsy program with the support of RWJBarnabas Health and in collaboration with Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and growth of the epilepsy program at CMC in a full-time, non-hospital-employed role.
- Mix of outpatient/inpatient and clinical cases split between NCES and CMC.
- Emphasis on surgical epilepsy and complex case management.
- Strategic opportunity to organize a stronger epilepsy care network across CMC and RWJUH–New Brunswick.
- Minimal administrative oversight and significant autonomy to innovate and expand services.
- RVU-based productivity bonus paid quarterly.
Requirements
- Board-certified in Neurology.
- Fellowship-trained in Epilepsy and/or Clinical Neurophysiology.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing clinical epileptologist (exceptional recent fellowship grads will be considered).
- Skilled in surgical epilepsy evaluation and care.
- Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to build and maintain collaborative networks.
