Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital is seeking an exceptional Cardiothoracic Surgeon to serve as Medical Director and lead the continued growth and innovation of our cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery program. This is a premier leadership opportunity for a visionary physician who is passionate about advancing surgical excellence, expanding minimally invasive and robotic capabilities, and building a comprehensive, high-performing service line.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and strategic leadership for all cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgical services.
- Lead growth of thoracic oncology, lung nodule evaluation, and comprehensive surgical care pathways.
- Advance minimally invasive and robotic surgical capabilities across thoracic and cardiac procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and adherence to national benchmarks and best practices.
- Direct program development, expansion initiatives, and operational performance monitoring.
- Support research, academic engagement, and surgical education in partnership with GME and institutional leadership.
- Strengthen market position and regional reputation through innovation, technology integration, and community engagement.
