Medical Director - Medicare Advantage

Responsibilities

• Conduct peer and case reviews to fulfill medical director duties
• Engage with providers on performance profiling and medical policy issues
• Deliver medical expertise on utilization and case management activities
• Support quality assurance and accreditation efforts within the organization
• Participate as a voting member on various medical committees

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. required with clinical opinion capabilities
• 7 years of clinical practice experience essential
• 3-5 years of direct patient care post-graduate experience preferred
• Administrative experience in health plans and knowledge of insurance industry preferred
• Experience with accreditation bodies like JCAHO or URAC preferred

$150,000 – $200,000 annually
