MEDICAL DIRECTOR - Kingston Family Health Center
Medical Director
Brief Description: Responsible for the overall clinical management of the practice and program assigned to the practice as above, including direct supervision of all clinical providers (medical) and monitoring the practice and on-site programs for meeting the organization’s access goals, quality performance measures, regulatory compliance, training programs, and research initiatives.

- Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Management Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of all providers who are assigned to this practice as their primary site
- Performs semiannual evaluations of all providers who are assigned to this practice as their primary site, and their annual competency evaluations
- Organizes monthly meetings with providers with documented minutes of meetings
- Participates in monthly office management meeting with nurse manager and office manager of site
- Ability to collaborate with all other clinical disciplines as applicable to the site (dental, psychiatry and other clinical staff)
- Maintains active medical practice of assigned clinical sessions weekly
- Demonstrates competency in following areas: Medical Knowledge, Clinical Practice, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Professionalism, Systems-Based Practice, Practiced-Based Learning and Improvements, Teaching and Training
- Clinical Responsibilities Include:
- Maintains good quality medical records
- Demonstrates excellent clinical/technical skills
- Demonstrates excellent clinical access as advanced by the Institute’s initiatives
- Education Required: Graduate of an accredited medical school and an accredited residency program
- Experiences and/or Skills Required: Demonstrates effective supervisory skills of clinicians, demonstrates superior clinical skills, demonstrates effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and conflict management skills, demonstrates excellent computer skills, demonstrates ability to prioritize and organize activities of multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous clinical supervisory experience preferred. Previous leadership activities / Continuous Quality Improvement effectiveness preferred
- Licenses/Certifications Required: NY State Medical License active and unrestricted, Board Certification to respective specialty board preferred, Current BCLSC, Current DEA Certificate
