About the role

This permanent position is suited to experienced doctors with strong clinical leadership and digital healthcare expertise. The Medical Director will provide medical leadership across clinical policies, healthcare strategies, clinical governance, and digital health initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medical policies and ensure alignment with industry standards.
• Develop healthcare strategies and solutions in collaboration with teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulations in the insurance industry.
• Review and approve medical claims and related documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance healthcare services.
• Provide medical insights to support business decisions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Contribute to the development of training programs for the team.

Requirements

• MBBS with MD/DNB or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
• Active medical registration in India.
• More than 10 years of clinical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in digital health, payer-side clinical leadership, hospital quality, medical administration, or health-tech at scale.
• Demonstrated ownership of clinical governance systems.
• Practical understanding of India’s digital health regulatory environment.

Skills

• Strong understanding of clinical governance systems.
• Working fluency with clinical AI and decision-support systems.
• Experience in managing distributed clinician networks.
• Exposure to clinical research methodology.
• Ability to define safe operating boundaries for automated care.
• Experience with regulatory audits and compliance.
• Builder’s mindset with experience in healthcare AI.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
