Medical Director, Impatient Psychiatry

About the role

The Psychiatrist will provide clinical leadership for the 22-bed Behavioral Health - Adult Psychiatric Treatment Unit at Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC).

The Medical Director will be an active clinician who is also responsible for the oversight and supervision of inpatient behavioral health staff and consultation services in collaboration with the Chair of Psychiatry at Baystate Medical Center.

Faculty appointment to University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School- Baystate. Establish academic presence at our community hospital by developing curriculum to support rotations for medical students, residents, and fellows.

Opportunity to potentially create innovative new combined Family Medicine/Psychiatry residency based at BFMC.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for the 22-bed Behavioral Health - Adult Psychiatric Treatment Unit at Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC).
• Be an active clinician who is responsible for the oversight and supervision of inpatient behavioral health staff and consultation services in collaboration with the Chair of Psychiatry at Baystate Medical Center.

• Potentially create innovative new combined Family Medicine/Psychiatry residency based at BFMC.

Requirements

• ABMS Board Certified Psychiatrist.
• Relevant inpatient and leadership experience.
