Medical Director, Immunology
About the role
As a Medical Director in Immunology, you will play a pivotal role in advancing clinical development programs for immune-mediated diseases. This includes study design, execution, data interpretation, and regulatory documentation. You will serve as a key clinical voice within global cross-functional teams, contributing to the scientific rigor and strategic direction of immunology assets.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day medical oversight for assigned clinical studies, including safety data review, protocol deviation assessment, and interpretation of accumulating efficacy and biomarker data.
- Contribute to clinical development planning, support governance discussions with well-reasoned medical analyses, and help shape evidence generation strategies across assigned indications.
- Contribute to regulatory documents and health authority interactions, ensuring all deliverables are scientifically sound, compliant, and inspection-ready.
- Offer a clear pathway toward broader program-level medical leadership, with increasing ownership of study strategy and cross-functional decision support as you grow within the organization.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD, DO, or international equivalent) with prior clinical training and hands-on patient-care experience in a relevant medical specialty.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic clinical research, or clinical development; candidates with strong clinical and academic research backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial conduct, medical monitoring principles, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), International Council for Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, and patient safety expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret clinical and safety data, identify medically relevant issues, and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional partners.
- Proven ability to deliver assigned milestones and work effectively in a global matrix environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board eligibility, board certification, fellowship training, or equivalent specialist qualification in Rheumatology, Clinical Immunology, Internal Medicine with immunology focus, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, or another relevant immune-mediated disease area.
- Experience supporting clinical trial design, execution, data review, medical monitoring, or study-level decision-making.
- Familiarity with global clinical trial conduct, regulatory submissions, and health authority interactions.
- Experience preparing or reviewing clinical documents such as protocols, informed consent forms, investigator brochures, clinical study reports, or scientific communications.
- Strong knowledge of drug development and clinical trial methodology in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, rheumatology, or related therapeutic areas.

$174,600.00 - $262,000.00

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
