Medical Director-Hospitalist Service
About the role
Provides direct patient care as a member of the Hospitalist team, as well as clinical leadership and overall supervision of all practitioners associated with the team.
Ability to collaborate with physician, nursing and administrative leadership to support system objectives.
Serve as a mentor and role model for all members of the department.
Develop and conduct annual performance evaluations for all clinicians.
Lead the recruitment and retention of physicians and advanced practitioners.
Participate as an active member of the WellSpan Hospitalist’s Leadership Executive Committee
Responsibilities
Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine and eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
3 years relevant experience required and some management responsibilities and familiarity with performance improvement processes.
Strong clinical, managerial and leadership skills including strong team-building skills and patient experience and cost-of-care emphasis.
Qualifications
Highest level of education is a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.).
Eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
Must be board certified in Internal or Family Medicine.
Should have 3 years relevant experience required and some management responsibilities and familiarity with performance improvement processes.
Should possess strong clinical, managerial and leadership skills including strong team-building skills and patient experience and cost-of-care emphasis.
