Key Responsibilities
- Standardize and optimize inpatient workflows
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve efficiency and care quality
- Remove operational barriers impacting performance
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship
- Foster engagement, well-being, and retention
- Oversee patient experience strategies and performance
- Collaborate across teams to elevate the patient journey
- Co-lead throughput strategy and daily flow management
- Partner across departments to reduce barriers to movement
- Provide physician oversight to the Care Coordination Center
- Align LOS and capacity strategies with organizational goals
- Lead Observation Medicine
- Monitor KPIs and drive Observation LOS improvements
- Lead performance improvement initiatives (Lean, PDSA, etc.)
Qualifications
- MD/DO with Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Demonstrated leadership experience in hospital operations or throughput
- Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
- Leducation or experience in leadership development preferred
