About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead the provider team and clinical direction of the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center Medical Services
- Provide clinical oversight of all medical and psychiatric services
- Develop programs to support reduced recidivism
- Provide pharmacy licensure and medication practice review
- Collaborate with MetroHealth leadership, County Correctional leadership, clinical and support staff to identify and implement new or revised processes
- Ensure that medical care within the correctional facility meets NCCHC accreditation standards and other corrections regulations
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the MetroHealth System
Requirements
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, non-restricted license to practice medicine in the State of Ohio
- Board certification or board eligibility in adult primary care or emergency medicine
- Federal DEA registration number
- Current basic life support certification from the AHA
- Ability to meet specific credential and privileging requirements to be determined by MetroHealth
- Experience with or certification of Correctional Healthcare preferred
