Medical Director, Community Behavioral Health

This role supports clinical priorities focused on quality, patient-centered outcomes, and effective care delivery. You will collaborate with clinical leaders, operational teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve standards, workflows, and execution within a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the CBHC medical team comprising physicians and advanced practice nurses
• Facilitate cross-agency meetings to ensure adherence to program specifications and quality standards
• Promote evidence-based practices and compliance with regulatory requirements among medical staff
• Develop and monitor quality improvement policies and systems for effective client care management
• Analyze data to improve metrics related to prescription practices and access to treatments
• Provide clinical consultation and facilitate treatment planning meetings with the multidisciplinary team
• Engage with external stakeholders and participate in governance committees to enhance program initiatives

Qualifications

• MD required with board certification in Psychiatry; dual certification preferred
• 10 years of clinical experience with at least 5 years in a management role
• Experience overseeing treatment for mental health and substance use disorders, including prescribing medication for opioid use disorders
• Familiarity with MassHealth and managed care practices
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentorship and cultural sensitivity

Pay

$307,500 – $307,500 annually
