Medical Director
About the role
You will work under the guidance of the field management team and oversee the medical quality and patient care provided by all doctors within the hospital. In this key leadership role, you will also be part of the hospital's management team, contributing to its overall financial success. You will set and drive the hospital’s strategic direction to ensure positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Approximately 30% of your time will be dedicated to leadership responsibilities, with the remaining 70% focused on clinical duties as a staff veterinarian.
- Work closely with the field management team to ensure high standards of medical care and patient welfare.
- Oversee the implementation and adherence to hospital policies and procedures related to medical quality and patient care.
- Contribute to the hospital’s strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior veterinarians and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding veterinary practices.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent.
- Licensure in good standing to practice in NY, or the ability to obtain.
- A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $145k - $160k, dependent on experience. Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials.
