Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Director to join our team in a part-time to full-time role. As the Medical Director, you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive care to patients, ensuring high-quality services, and promoting best practices across the healthcare team. You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical staff, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities Provide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to the medical staff to maintain high standards of careFoster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional developmentLead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staffChair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basisAssist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulationsLead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiativesStay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to continuously evolve the facility's clinical offeringsProvide direct patient care to residents, ensuring the highest quality of clinical treatment and support Requirements Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred.Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term careAbility to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operationsProlonged standing and walking. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Computer work. Lifting/moving patients. Prolonged sitting.
