ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Cook up medical care to ensure residents get proper care.
- Make sure residents reach or keep their best possible health.
- Ensure other doctors like Nurse Practitioners do their jobs right and follow the rules.
- Meet with people in charge to talk about the health and work stuff of the residents.
- Help plan and make changes to the medical and nursing plans with the boss and the nurse boss.
- Be ready to help out at night and during emergencies.
- Must have a valid doctor's license to practice medicine in the state.
- Must know how to take care of older people and how nursing homes work.
- Must know the rules that say what doctors can and can't do in nursing homes.
- Must be able to read, write, talk, and understand English.
- Must be able to deal nicely with people, families, visitors, and others.
- Must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Must have a current license to practice medicine in North Carolina.
- Must work in offices and around the facility.
- Must be ready to work extra hours and on weekends and holidays.
- Must be available to work nights and weekends.
- Works in offices and around the facility.
- Has to deal with interruptions often.
- Works with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
- Works outside regular hours and on weekends and holidays.
- Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
