Medical Director

About the role

We are a busy, well-established veterinary hospital in Kernersville, NC, with a dedicated team of animal lovers and a supportive team environment. We are seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead our team and deliver high-quality veterinary care.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and direction to the veterinary team
• Oversee the quality of care and medical protocols across the hospital
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that promotes learning, collaboration, and teamwork
• Ensure exceptional client service and education
• Work closely with hospital management to meet financial and operational goals
• Maintain a regular schedule of clinical duties alongside leadership responsibilities

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Prior leadership experience
• Active North Carolina veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A team-oriented leader who motivates and mentors others
• Passion for client education and delivering excellent patient care

Benefits

• Up to $140,000 base salary plus production bonuses
• Leadership and sign on bonus opportunities

• A attractive PTO and a rotating schedule which will provide a healthy work-life balance from large blocks of days off, including weekends and no on-call hours required
• $2500 in CE and in addition we will pay for Licensing, DEA, dues & fees

Pay

Up to $140,000 base salary plus production bonuses
