Job Description:The Medical Director provides direct clinical patient care while helping guide clinical practice within a primary care environment. Working in partnership with other clinical staff, the Medical Director supports the development and implementation of medical protocols and treatment regimens and helps ensure high-quality, coordinated care. Education and Experience:• M.D. or D.O. degree required.• Licensed as a physician in the State of Alaska.• Current American Board certification in a specialty appropriate for the service.• Ability to meet all requirements for associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, PALS, and other certifications are required as applicable to specialty and scope of practice.• Two (2) years of post-residency experience as a physician Skills:The successful candidate will bring:• Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary clinical teams.• A relationship-based approach to care and an ability to engage patients as active partners in their health and wellness.• Commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork, and culturally responsive care.
