About the Role
The Medical Device Audit Inspector is responsible for inspecting, auditing, and ensuring the quality of surgical instruments to guarantee safety and functionality. They support inventory activities by researching discrepancies in surgical kits using SAP, processing incoming inventory, and generating nonconforming reports. Their work directly impacts patient safety and surgical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Audit returned surgical instruments for damage, missing parts, contamination, or functionality issues
- Create discrepancy and nonconforming reports via ERP software
- Clean and inspect incoming surgical instruments
- Input and manage inventory data within SAP system
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in medical instrument inspection or auditing (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical device handling, sterilization, and reprocessing workflows
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Excellent computer skills (Windows, MS Excel, MS Word)
- Effective communication and organizational abilities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, walk, reach, push, and crawl for extended periods to perform job duties effectively
