Medical Device and Delivery Driver Technician

About the role

The Medical Device & Delivery Driver Tech supports and maintains the obstructive sleep apnea population in Massachusetts by providing technical knowledge and assistance. This role delivers and picks up equipment, assists with the Oxygen Department’s customer service queues, and provides telehealth instruction to patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to patients with CPAP, BiPAP, and other sleep equipment for sleep apnea related diagnoses, including:
  • Luna G3 APAP and ResMed APAP
  • Luna 3B BPAP and ResMed BPAP
  • Mask fitting
  • Oxygen concentrators and regulators
• Provide telehealth instruction to Massachusetts patients and/or caregivers on the proper use of equipment and respiratory care procedures—escalating to a Respiratory Therapist as appropriate.
• Serve as a liaison between the patient and other members of the healthcare team.
• Participate in mandatory in-services and training sessions regarding respiratory patient care.
• Keep all financial and patient information confidential, in accordance with company mandates and HIPAA security standards.
• Coordinate with the Customer Success team on scheduling patient visits and equipment set-up.
• Develop good working relationships with patients and their families.
• Follow company policies and procedures, ensuring timely documentation.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
• Complete 500 hours under the direct supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist.
• Deliver and pick up durable medical equipment to/from customers' homes.
• Complete delivery and pick-up paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned properly according to Reliable Respiratory’s standards.
• Maintain the company vehicle in a clean, safe operating condition and complete logs as required.
• Assist in receiving orders and putting away inventory as needed.
• Comply with all policies and procedures established by the company and regulatory bodies.
• Participate in physical inventory checks.
• Keep assigned warehouse organized, clean, and orderly, ensuring all warehouses follow the same processes.
• Oversee product/order fulfillment, including cleaning and testing of equipment in the assigned warehouse.
• Monitor inventory to ensure delivery staff are appropriately stocked and maintain par-levels of overstock.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States and not require work authorization now or in the future.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Experience with respiratory equipment is preferred.
• Proficient in using a PC/iPad/software for email, documentation, and notes.
• Valid and current driver’s license from the state of residence.
• At least 3 years of verifiable driving experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations or at-fault accidents on driving record within the past 3 years.
• No misdemeanor conviction related to the operation of a motor vehicle within the past three years (except for first convictions of drunkenness, simple assault, speeding, minor traffic violations, affray, or disturbance of the peace) and no felony convictions.
