About the role

Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver – Tacoma, WA. This full‑time position involves long‑distance driving throughout the state of Washington, transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x‑rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of the day in a company‑owned vehicle, safely driving and transporting medical items.
• Operate a hand‑held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle.
• Perform route duties across all assigned routes; assignments may change based on client and business needs.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be at least 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with and ability to adapt to technology.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
• Drive a non‑commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination depending on location and local mandates.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds; lift items off storage racks.
• Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods.
• Completion of criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review as a condition of employment.

Pay

$20 – $21.70 per hour.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 3 pm – 11:30 pm.
