About the role

Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver position in Charlotte, NC. Hourly rate $18.00, with a shift differential of +$1.00/hr for hours worked after 10:00 PM. Full‑time schedule Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–1:00 AM. Scheduled route covers Huntersville, Cornelius, and Mooresville. COVID‑19 vaccination is required. MedSpeed is a healthcare logistics company that transports vital medical supplies and specimens nationwide, emphasizing teamwork, integrity, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of the day in a company‑owned vehicle, safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x‑rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials.
• Operate a hand‑held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat and orderly vehicle.
• Route duties vary based on client and business needs; LSRs must be able to perform all duties across assigned routes, which may change over time.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
• Drive a non‑commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination (depending on location and local mandates).
• Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift items off storage racks.
• Comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time.
• Must complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review as a condition of employment.
