RiverTech, an Akima company, is hiring a Medical Courier to join our team in support of Peterson Space Force Base (SFB) in Colorado Springs, CO. This is a part-time, on-call role with no defined shifts, unless a personnel vacancy arises in the future.

Responsibilities

• Drive an automobile or light truck to pick up medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, records, and supplies at designated locations for military installations and clinics, and transport in compliance with commercial standards and HIPAA Privacy Rule of 1996
• Obtain receipts for articles delivered and keep a log of items received and delivered
• Deliver items to offices and departments within an establishment
• Deliver messages, documents, packages and mail to various business concerns or governmental agencies
• Safeguard all Government-owned property provided for Medical Courier Services
• Transport up to 100 containers daily (containers average approximately 18" H x 24" W x 24" L, with maximum weight of approximately 50 pounds when filled)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma
• Valid driver's license
• Good driving record without extensive traffic violation history or criminal history record
• Ability to complete an SF85P, Questionnaire for Public Trust Positions
• Obtain and maintain Public Trust
• Ability to comply with HIPAA Privacy Rule of 1996
• Must be able to lift containers up to 50 pounds and move and transport up to 100 containers daily

• Previous experience as a Courier

Pay

$19.42 per hour plus $5.09 per hour Health & Welfare
